ok, i just installed the 2.4.1 kernel, to see how it works, (i'm still running 2.2.16-5)

well, everything went wonderful, except now when i start up, my 3c59x.o module isn't loaded. I can load it manually, and restart networking, and the computer works fine, but i was looking for a way to have it automatically do an "insmod", just inc case i'm telnetted in and need to reboot or something...

how would i go about doing that?

Stick the name of the module in /etc/modules , just like in 2.2.x (IIRC).

I believe you need to upgrade your modutils and a few other bits..
