OK man thanks to the nice people who helped me to get my modem to work on linux so that I can really use iLinux in stead of windows ( HAPPY DAYS NO MORE WINDOWS :D ;) for me!!!).
But i am currently looking for the stuff i need to install my Geforce 4 MX DDR 440. Can anyone help?

Yeah, just grab the two files relevant to your distro from nvidia.com and follow the installation instructions.

opps...
I think that I did something wrong!!
I installed dreivers but then my PC crashed I had to reinstall Linux. it seamed to work but then my VDU just wen in to sleep mode (whihc it never does apart from when PC is turned off) so i hit my restart button but all i got waht the text version not the ususal login in screen with background and all.
I selected Gefroce 4 (gentic) from the list
I am now using GeForce 2 DDR (gentic)
My GeForce is
GeForce 4 MX 440 64MB DDR
i am very very new to linux. be warned!!

You have to use nVidia's drivers. Selecting any video card (even an nVidia one) during your distro's installation will not result in you getting the full use of your card.
Search through these forums for nvidia, it's a REALLY popular topic. There are even two or three how-to posts in the "how I did it" forum on how to get the drivers installed -- read through all of them.
