Mandrake apps

Ok! Just tell me this. When I installed Mandy 9 powerpack it asked only for 4 CDs. How then can I install apps from the other 3 CDs? How can I install the sources CD?

I tried to click and install apps like mplayer but a lot of dependency issue came in.

Suggest me something...how to install commercial apps CD2, supplementary apps CD2 etc are not provided in my manual.

Most of us don't need the source CD. It's there because Mandrake is sticking to GNU license which Linux is under or else they broke the license.

The other 2 CD's are needed when they are. When you install Linux, you choose the packages that are on specific CD's.

Maybe you should take a look at the other CD's documentation. It must be in some folders.

did you choose expert or recommended install. The mandrake expert install ask you which disk you have while the recommended one simply gives you all the packages and will ask for the cd if a package you selected is on that disc.
