Just for fun, here's a random quote to guess. Oh.. and NO Google dammit!!

"We must kill them. We must incinerate them. Pig after pig, cow after cow, village after village, army after army. And they call me an assasin. What do you call it when the assassins accuse the assassin?"

And, for pete's sake, no googling!!

LOL!!! I google'd it and, indeed, I came across a humorous adaption of the source. :D

After you vote, check out this site (http://www.****edworld.com/2001_11_01_prevdiary.shtml) !!

EDIT: stupid filter messes up the link... just replace the four stars with your favorite four lettered word. :D

Should be obvious though.

"How can you kill women and kids?"
"Easy, you just don't lead them as much."

WHAT!? The Redux is much different, as it has over 50 minutes of added footage, and if you thought the movie sucked, you obviously missed the point of the whole film.

Apocalypse Now is a film that takes place in Vietnam, it is NOT about Vietnam. If you missed the whole ideal behind the movie, go pick up the book "Heart of Darkness", as it's an adaption of that book, but replaces the congo river in Africa in the 19th century with a river in Vietnam during the Vietnam war.

I'd have to say, though, that the scene in which Willard "rises to the moment" is obviously one of the greatest moments of American cinema! I mean, with "This is the End" playing at it's hieght as he rises slowly from the water with his face painted... it was just... BRILLIANT!!

I'm assuming your the same person who would say Brazil, Clockwork Orange, Taxi Driver, or Fight Club all suck too.

The film had a point? What was it? I must have fallen asleep. I honestly have no idea what the whole thing was about. I am much more of a book person so ive just ordered "Heart of Darkness" from Amazon. Better be good :p

I havent seen Brazil, Clockwork Orange or Taxi Driver so i cant comment. But i did like Fight Club.

Well, basically the point was about the heart of darkness in all of us, and it was a twisted vision of power and the exposure of man's darker, primal side.

Of course, may other social, psychological, philosophical, and theological issues are brought up as well. I think some people just assume it's a movie about Vietnam and treat it as such... instead of looking into the symbolism and meanings behind everything, they only look at the surface and are therefore very dissapointed.
