I wanna put linux on my current box, but there are only 2 partitions, and one is fat32(win98se) and the other is ntfs(win2k). I cant delete these partitions, but i can reduce the size of the fat32 since it is 25+ GB. Is there any way i can do this?

Which partition comes first? The NTFS partition of the FAT32 partition?

The fat32 partition is first, its designated drive c:\.

You can use a utility called fips to resize your fat32 partition. This is a free program that comes with most distributions of linux. It is also availible HERE (http://www.igd.fhg.de/~aschaefe/fips/), along with some information.

You should run defrag and scandisk before using fips.

DISCLAIMER: I have used fips a few times with no problems. But, as always (when playing with partitions), there is a possibility that you can destroy all your information. So back up anything you need.
