Is there such a thing?

Hi,

I was wondering whether any of you guys know anywhere you get free linux web space that has Perl, PHP and mySQL. Also the ability to have your domain name on the server would help, DNS. And send and recieve email etc? Does such a free haven exist. Oh nearly for got, no adverts?

yes, but you get old buggy software, slow servers, even less bandwidth, no support, and there are about 10,000 other domains hosted on the machine so its uptime is about 3 hours.

Maybe you want them to send you your very own Server too, huh? http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/wink.gif Kidding. I was on a quest not too long ago for something similar. I consistently found 1 of 2 scenarios:

1. I had to pay for a minimal amount of web space monthly.
2. It was free but there were banner ads all over the damn place.

I'll put a post up if I find anything,
one which I came across before my initial post here was I think, bootbox.net. They offer free 10MB, Linux, PHP. Its a start I guess!
