LILO Question.

Ok, unfortunately for me I'm dual booting winME and RH7. LILO is giving me some trouble. I tried to install it in my MBR (grrr) and that didnt work because of the 1024 cluster requirement. So, I caved in and made my /boot partition and had LILO install there. Still, it doesnt work. Uhhhh... a lil' help? :)

Errr... so are you able to boot to any os?

So now your /boot partition is within the 1024 boundary?

The latest version of LILO doesn't have the 1024 cylinder constraint, so you might want to download it and boot into Redhat using your boot floppy and install it. Hopefully, that might solve your problem assuming the 1024 cylinder constraint is giving you problems.

Or, you can try fdisk /mbr and reinstall your lilo again.

Ahhh, cool I'll try that out. Got a link to where I can find the new lilo version or does it come with RH7?

Not sure RH7 came with a version of LILO that overcame the 1024 cylinder constraint but you can try http://freshmeat.net/search/?q=lilo to download a newer version of LILO.
