Okay, I've been digging for a while now and I still can't figure out how to make things translucent in KDE. I've seen some screenshots that look great... I need this. Can anyone help?:(

I've seen some screenshots that look great... I need this. Can anyone help?:( Hayl 02-04-2003, 09:50 AM if you mean the kicker and the menus, i suggest you go to www.kde-look.org and download a theme that has it in it. the keramik ones do usually - there are usually rpms on kde-look for various distros. ASCI Blue 02-04-2003, 09:55 AM KDE 3.1 comes with the Keramik style. Your other possibly better option is Mosfets Liquid. Colin Anderson 02-04-2003, 05:25 PM Assuming you're using a fairly recent version of KDE (3.0.3 or higher), simply open the KDE menu, go to the KDE Control Center, expand the Look & Feel section, and then go to the Style section. You should see a tab labeled Effects -- you may change your menu translucency and other options here. To change the translucency of the actual panel, you'll have to find a patch or download another theme I'm afraid, as Hayl and ASCI Blue stated. :) -Colin Cadwgawn 02-04-2003, 08:16 PM Cool.
