OK, I guess it's time for me to admitt, I do love Linux...:D
Why.??
Not because it's an alternative to MS Windows. But because its so configurable.
My Desktop is now becoming awesome looking.
Evolution Mail - so great to not have to worry so much about being attacked my mail worms
Mozilla - Tab Browsing - Need I say more
EMACS Txt Editing - I can now fly round my system just using EMACS to edit .conf and .d files.
Mount Points - Prefer them to Drive Letters. If MS runs out of letters, they are forced to use mount points in 2K anyhow. why bother, just have mount points from the start
Ah I could go on, but with the help of this site, and my own persistent to use the O/S, I feel really good about my system.
Anyone remember Amiga. WorkBench was like this, and wasn't that some kinda UNIX in the first place...
Well, thank you all, and if your reading this, and about to give Linux the bin, DON'T... Stick with it.
It really is a great O/S once you get the hang of learning your system again..
So glad I invested a few years learning it, even though I'm still not overly great with certain aspects...
Michael;)
