I just installed undead linux. Here are the instructions:

Installing Evil Entity is Easier Then You Think

Step 1. Getting Ready

1. Get your Hardware information
2. Check to see if your hardware is supported
3. Backup your Important Files (documents, bookmarks, Pictures, etc.)
4. Write down your settings (ISP, E-Mail, etc.)

Step 2. Install It

1. Insert Evil Entity CDROM and Restart PC
2. Partition Hard Drive if Necessary (If your upgrading from Windows XP, 2000 or 98, You must do this step)
3. Choose Install partition and swap partition
4. Format Hard Drive
5. Let Evil Entity do its install
6. Remove Reboot and CDROM

Step3. Configure System

1. Run Econfigure
2. Login with newly created user account
3. Start your XWindows/Enlightenment Session
4. Setup Email (and ISP if useing a dialup connection)

Your Done!

Enjoy the Speed and stability of your new Linux Desktop Computer :)

I got as far as step 3, where it says "Run Econfigure." I set everything up, but in set-up, you don't setup a user name, etc. How the hell do I run Econfigure? I'm sitting here at a prompt that says "starkfist login:" I have no idea how to login, 'cuz I haven't created a user name, an administrator name, nothing. Any help would be awesome. And please don't say to start with an easy distro, I have mandrake up and running, its so easy, I didn't learn a thing. I want to go this route, but the undead page doesn't really have any sort of mans, I'm lost. Thanks.

What drew you to Evil Entity?

BTW, it looks like either:

You missed reading/doing a step.
or...
The install script isn't all it's cracked up to be.
[/list=a]

I'm not sure there is anyone around familiar with EE, but I wish you luck.

Think back...where did you enter the word "starkfist"? And, did you enter anything that could be -mistaken- for a password?

Figured it out. Actually, you just type root and hit enter. That takes you into the part that lets you setup users and passwords to include the root password. Thanks.

You should give Gentoo a pop if your up for learning things from an installation.
