XSANE help!

i need a walkthrough on setting up SANE\XSANE it doesn't even start b/c it can't detect my scanner which is a Plustek FBIV P and is supported... i look in the tutorials and couldn't find anything...

should i have maybe posted this in hardware?

I think here is fine , as you will probably have to edit your scanner config.

I have the same problem with a HP 4200 which mandy 8.2 and 9.0 say they recognize and setup , but xsane says no such devices.

With the 4200 its a known issue , dealing with the USB ,and i vaguely remember plustek in that same circumstance.

I have to look up what info that I checked out , but there is no one downloadable fix that I am aware of.
