gnome task bar problems

Couple of days ago I lost buttons for virtual desktops, and today my open applications are not showing on the task bar (panel) on the gnome 1.4. Can you help me to fix this.

I had the same problem happen to me a few times on MDK 8.0

All you have to do is go to the GNOME start menu, and goto the panel option, then add to panel, and select the appropriate applet. In my case, I lost my 4-workspace applet, and my background programs applet. All i did was start them again through the GNOME panel menu, and when I booted up the next time, they were back in place. Visit the Mandrake homepage, and I beleive they have a link to using GNOME if you need more help

thanks, I knew that, but I didn't know the names of the applets. Finally I got one "tasklist", under utilities, but I can't find the one for desktops.

BTW I am from T.O too.
