I thought that was kinda funny... at least it's a Unix and not NT.. http://discussions.linuxplanet.com//smile.gif

from http://www.netcraft.com/whats/ :

"www.linuxplanet.com is running Apache/1.3.6 (Unix) AuthMySQL/2.20 PHP/3.0.7 on BSD/OS"

BSD is one of three, either FreeBSD, OpenBDS, or NetBSD, all Open Source Unix from Berkley (BSD = Berkley Software Distrobution, I think)

ALOT of web sites (like Yahoo) run on a *BSD

Unix = too expensive
NT = Microsoft ('nuff said, as stable as a maniac on steroids)
Linux = for small servers, performance isn't top notch.
*BSD = very fast, very stable, FREE.

At any rate it's not as funny as Hotmail being owned by Microsoft and running Unix/BSD (I forget which, but it's not NT!!)
