I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 and the mouse pad "sort-of-kind-of" works. The sad thing is, I have no Pointer to guide me. Is like being blind. But if you use the touch pad and kind of guess-timate you can get to KDE and all the utilities. How can I make KDE to post a mouse pointer, any pointer!

Thanks in advance.

Try some of the suggestions that have already been posted in these JL forum search results for 'invisible cursor' (http://justlinux.com/forum/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=356927&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending).

Post back if nothing works...

I found the solution. When MDK installed the video card it was the wrong one. We picked the next one down the list for the NVIDIA graphic adapter and we ran the test. The mouse apeared and all is honky dory!

In short.. The probe picked the wrong video adapter.
