Sharing Printer

Hi,

I have shared my printer on the network so my windows machines can use it but how do i get my other linux machines to use this printer

Are you familar with the printtool utility? If you have X working (as root) you can type: printtool from the command line and it will give you a clean graphical configuration window. You would then select SMB/Windows 95/98/NT printer type. It will then give you a dialog box for information about the network and such -- once that is done restart your lpd. Then try printing a test page. Hope this helps!

Also if you're sharing it off of an NT or 2000 server machine (you didn't say) you can set it up for TCP/IP printing.
