Help, I am trying to make my internet dialup automatic. I have searched the how-to's and could not make sense of att the diald ip-up and all that. Anyone have a foolproof step by step instruction?

If your using Slackware the ppp scripts support autodialing. Just search the forums on www.slackware.com (http://www.slackware.com)

You might want to try an app called diald.
Setup under Debian was completely automatic, it worked for me right out of the box.
