Hi all! I'm a newbie to Linux, and I have downloaded Mandrake 7.2 both ISOs. I'm burning them now. I'm wondering how I would go about installing this to dual boot with Win2K. I would rather not reformat, if possible.
As for partitioning, I assume that it would be a good idea. I have Partition Magic 5.0 and plenty of HD space. Can I leave Win2K on C and then resize that and create a new partition for Linux?
Also, any input on hardware compatability and all would be appreciated. My system:
Athlon Thunderbird 800
Asus A7V, BIOS 1005a (Promise ATA/100 controller built in)
192MB PC-133
30GB Maxtor 7200RPM ATA/100
ASUS GeForce II MX
Guillemot MaxiSound Fortissimo
Acer ALN-330 NIC
Realtek 8139 NIC
LG 52x CD ROM
Acer 2x1x6 CDRW :(
Thanks in advance!
