As a college CS major, im currently studying the C language, and the class im taking is programming in Unix (hell yea). I dont have Unix or Linux on my home computer (yet), but I wanted to know, are there any sites that have a list of commands for VI?

Also, i noticed that some of the commands for VI in Unix are different for Linux. Why is that?

Not only is there a site with a list of commands, but you can get gVim for Windows... http://www.vim.org/download.php

It's probably worth checking out the Vim Command Cheat Sheet at http://www.ssel.montana.edu/HowTo/vi_commands.html if you plan on using Vim. If you want something more in-depth, check out http://www.apmaths.uwo.ca/~xli/vim/vim_tutorial.html
