Howdy,
I've used cfdisk to allocate my new partition and it created it as sda16 (at least, that's what fdisk -l tells me). When I check out /dev there is no sda16, but there IS an sdb with the proper major and minor numbers. Is /dev/sdb the device file that "represents" sda16 in fdisk? I'm ready to pull the trigger on creating the file system, but I didn't want to step all over my other file systems in the process.
Any help/pointers much appreciated,
Dave
