I have Linux mandrake 8.0, with the 2.4 linux kernel. I'm using the KDE desktop. I am trying to migrate from Windows ME to a strictly linux pc. So I'm trying to run a windows emulator to ease the transition. I download a version of a program called "wine" for linux mandrake cooker installations in a RPM file. I used the RPM manager to install it. I think it is installed now, but I have no idea how to run it. What file do I link to in order to make a desktop icon?
I'm not retarded, just new to Linux. Please help

THNX,

first, run "winesetup" aka /usr/bin/wish,
to set it up with your preferences and etc.

then simply open up a terminal, go to the directory the windows program is installed in(on your windows drive?) and type "wine program-name.exe"

thats just the basics, hope that helps
