Umm...ok, how do I start? I looked for the help section-- no dice. It says it's connected and logged on but when I type something, it says no channels joined. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

Type: /join #linux

Substitute linux with any other word

first, connect to the server you want to connect to, by typing /server SERVERNAME
then, choose the name you want to use with the command /nick NAME
join the channel you want to join by typing /join #CHANNELNAME - the '#' MUST be in it (unless you want to join a channel which begins with '+' or '&'; but i suppose not)
