I want to convert my / partition to reiserfs. It is the only partition on the drive. I have two other drives mounted as /hdb1 and /hdc1 for data files.

Is there anyway I can do this? I can copy all of the / filesystem on to another hard drive if that is required.

I already have one of the two other drives running reiserfs. I have reiserfs support in my kernel.

http://www.reiserfs.org/faq.html has a section that explains how to do it. I did it on my Redhat 7.1, but I had an extra equally sized partition that I setup as a reiser partition on, and copied my system over there. Then changed /etc/fstab and /etc/lilo.conf, and ran /sbin/lilo. One reboot later and it was running on reiserfs.
