Dependency problem

Hello everybody,

I am tring to install koffice which depends on so many file that I did not install it. I tried installing libraries also but they also inturn depend on other files which are not available with me. How does one solve the dependency problems? It seems quit a task to get any installation done in Linux. :mad: :( :confused: :confused: :confused:

Find out what dependencies you need. Most likely if you install the current KDE libraries you should be able to get it up and running. If anything, are you using KDE? Try installing KDE and that should fix it.

Often, when you get this huge list of missing dependencies, ONE library that is not installed will solve a gang of em. Also, as your system matures, more and more things that are needed are there, and there seems to be less of this after a while.
