I had Red Hat 7.1 on my computer but I messed it up, so I went out and bought SuSE 7.2 and now there are certain commands that I cant use like whois, fstat, stat, and some others that I cant remeber. Is there any place that I could get these commands, I thought they were in the kernel but I downloaded 2.4.10 and recompiled it but still do not have tose commands.

the kernel doesn't contain those command and it doesn't come with them. so what you need to do is install the whois package and the rest and you should be able to run them.
