x kinda fixed an earlier problem

Awhile ago, i posted a problem i was having with X displaying my screen at half the highr it was suposed to be.

Today i booted up, and it "found new hardware" meaning, it re-found my video and NIC cards. ( which i've never taken out or messed with)

So it went thought e setup for X again and now instead of it being alright horizontally and half hight vertically, my desktop is now 20% bigger than my screen in both directions.

Now this is a lot better than having to squint to o anyting at all, but having to scroll around my screen thats off my monitor is slightly annoying.

So can i shrink my desktop back down to the size of my monitor? if so, how?

post your XFree86config file. (I think). i think that is the file that holds your screen res and possible a solution.

oh, if cae you need it, my video card is an ATI mach 62 with 2M RAM and my monitor is a gerneric XGA that can do 1024x768
