WINE & xmessage problems

I just successfully, or so I thought, installed WINE. When I got to run the program the errer mssg appears that I need xmessage. What do i do? I have been reading that people haave been having trouble with this with little success in its fix. Can anybody help??

According to my distro...


# locate xmessage

/opt/kde2/include/kxmessages.h

# rpm -qf /usr/X11R6/bin/xmessage
XFree86-contrib-4.1-13


xmessage is included in the XFree86-contrib package, but of course that may vary from distro to distro.

See if you can find xmessage.

locate xmessage

I had a similar problem in Mandrake 9.0.

All I did was do a search for the file under Mandrake's Install Software manager. Then I clicked next to the RPMs that it found that would install the programs that had xmessage and -- presto!-- problem solved.
