But I've picked up some extra's, including the ability to spell my name...no small feat in the south(jk, but it is fun to hear what some believe of the south).

LOL liked the one about BS and sarcasm. Count me in!

My native language is Spanish. Wait a minute, Puertorican Spanish! LOL Cause so far we speak a whole different Spanish, from what I've heard so far here in the States. Not all Spanish speaking people sound and talk a like. Thank god I got out to see the World!!! :D

What's my native language? I'd have to say it's English of course, but my secondary language is C++. After that, I'd have to say perl and java, but I only speak java when I have to!! :D

Other than that, I know a little bit of French (half of the time I would have an idea of what something in french says, nut not completely be able to translate it) and I also know some basic Spanish sentences thanks to some hispanic friends I had.

most federal forts, arsenals, and other property were quickly taken over by state forces, sometimes even before the state officially seceded

After nightfall, on the evening of December 26, Anderson moved his small force from Moultrie to the more defensible Sumter.

On January 9, 1861, the ship arrived at Charleston Harbor, but turned back when it was fired upon by South Carolina's batteries.

so the south didn't start the aggressions?

endorphinjunkie
01-24-2003, 10:45 PM
No where in my post did I say that the South didn't start the war. I am well aware that the South fired the first shot. It comes from that Anglo-Saxon arrogance that we inheritted from the British. :D

Lets see, I was born and raised in the Northwest US of A [a slower, easier speaking vernacular] lived and worked amongst the migrant workers [a quicker, more emotional twist to communication] ~ predominantly English.

The Southwestern dialect of American English.

I also speak a good amount of German, but not natively.

I used to be able to speak a little Spanish, but I haven't spoken it in years. By a little, I mean a small amount.

My second language is English, which I started learning when I was 9 or so.
