i am using gnome in mandrake 9.0 and i deleted all the panels and created my own added a bunch of buttons but there is one button that i want to add that i just cant find....
where is the show desktop button i want to add that button but how?

Methinks you are confusing Gnome with Windows.

Try adding Nautilus to your applets--I think that'd be a great help.

when i first installed linux and went into gnome there was a show desktop button, and then i deleted all my toolbars to make my own but now i cant find that show desktop button

what is nautilus and how do add its applets

In Gnome 2.2 (just released) there is a show desktop button as an applet.

Yes, this feature was not in standard GNOME until 2.2 unless Mandrake hacked GNOME slightly to add this feature. If that is the case, I'd search google.com/linux for more info.
