What tool do people use to take screenshots in linux? I used "snap-it" or something in Solaris.

In MDK 8.0/1 there is an built in utility :
Go to the menu, Mutlimedia->Graphics->Screenshot

you can also fire up a terminal and type

import -window root /whereever/filename.jpg or .png

I'm running mandrake 8.1 and theres a proggie called "Screen Capture" (suprise suprise) under the "multimedia" then "graphics" menu....
