UT2k3 Hangs when trying to get an internet connection in Linux

UT2k3 Hangs when trying to get an internet connection
When ever I try to play UT2k3 on an internet server, My screen goes completely black, and I can't see anything. However, when I play a LAN game, or a single player game, I have no problems. I've made sure that I got the right patches and everything.

Do anyone else have this problem?

Asus A7V8X
AthlonXP 2600+ (333)
Visiontek Ti4600
Soundblaster Live!
768 MB PC 2700 DDR333
1x80GB and 1x100GB ATA100 Western Digital Hard drives
Mandrake 9.0

Try running it from a console and when it hangs and goes black, hit Ctrl+Alt+F1 and logon to kill the ut2003 session. Go back to the GUI with Ctrl+Alt+F7 and check the console for errors....

Are you running a firewall, my game hangs in WinXP if my firewall is on.
