Xchat DCC receive

Is there any way to limit CTCP replies rather than block them in Xchat? The flood protection automatically adds connections to the ignore list if it detects a CTCP flood, but then that prevents me from beginning to receive a DCC send. I can make a request in a channel and the user will say its on the way, but the download will never begin, just as if I never requested. But if I go to the ignore list and find that account and have it not block CTCP, it works fine. Not sure how to fix this
