sendmail

I've read the sendmail readme and I kind of have a problem undestanding the m4 stuff. I also looked in the NHF's but couldn't find anything so I'll ask here..

Can anyone explain me how to set up sendmail so that I can send my emails with it instead of using some other smtp server? (I'm using SuSE Linux 7.2 if that's important to know)

OK, let me first say I am biased. Use POSTFIX. I have a SuSE 6.0 system running for 2 years using Postfix as the mail program. It is faster and easier to config than Sendmail. Once you have Postfix installed (if not already), as long as you have a valid domain it should be ok.
