Absolutely, here is a partial list for you:
Learning Debian GNU/Linux (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/debian/chapter/index.html)
List of Books on Debian Site (http://www.debian.org/distrib/books)
Documents listed at Debian Site (http://www.debian.org/doc/)
I'm sure there are plenty more, these are quick thoughts.
If you are already running Debian, then type apt-get install task-doc task-newbie-help and that will get you started.... http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

Here is a link to the online Learning Debian by O'Reilly.
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/debian/chapter/index.html
I stumbled accross the Debian Unleashed book at a show. Talked the guy down to $15.00. It's OK not great.

Learning Debian/GNU Linux by O'Reilly Press...caveat...it's pretty basic.
It doesn't cover apt/dselect in depth...
...it's in my Library http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

BTW, here is a quick (decent) overview of apt & dselect:
Quick Apt/Dselect Overview (http://www.egroups.com/files/newbieDoc/apt-get-intro.html)
And Debian package managers in general:
Quick Debian Package Info from the FAQ (http://www.debian.org/doc/FAQ/ch-pkg_basics.html)
<EDIT> Also, look for my NEW UNOFFICIAL APT SOURCES.LIST post </EDIT> http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
