Last night I installed, or tried to install, Linux for Windows from Linux-Mandrake/mandrakesoft. Bought it yesterday at CompuUSA figuring it was the easiest way to try Linux.
The install 'finished' and I took out the disk to restart and this is what appeared after some other stuff I didn't understand:
autorun done
request module [block-major-7] : root fs not mounted
vfs: cannot open root device 07:07
kernel panic: vfs: unable to mount root fs on 07:07
I am not a programmer. I am the editor of allnetdevices.com. I am using Windows ME on a
6 month old IBM Aptiva that has 128MB RAM and an AMD Athlon processor.
Can anybody help me? Or at least help me uninstall this thing?
Thanks!
