It works with AIM (Oscar and TOC protocols), ICQ, MSN Messenger, Yahoo, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu, and Zephyr networks. Also there is LICQ, but I haven't tried it. santino 01-20-2003, 03:51 PM i have mandrake 9.0 kde 3.0 and whenever i try and load licq it does nothing i click on it then i see it in the traskbar and the bottom and it seems like its loading but then it just disappears Icarus 01-20-2003, 04:05 PM I liked GnomeICU, but with the last release I can't have the main window closed and only have the applet running. Close the main window and the applet switches to off-line...no biggie, but I don't like having windows open I don't need Other then that, it's almost the same as the Windows version (once you install the WindowsICQ theme, you'll hardly know ;)) mocnicom 01-20-2003, 04:15 PM I use Xchat, but I haven't tried any others yet. santino 01-20-2003, 04:31 PM ok i downloaded the latest licq of their site and im having problems installing it i did ./configure then gmake then gmake install as it says in the read me file then it says i gotta install a plugin so i go in the plug in folder and run ./configure and this is the error i get configure: error: You need to have the X11 libraries and headers installed i have all the c++ compilers and the development **** install form the mandrake9.0 cd why is **** so hard to install for linux this is the main reason linux isnt as mainstream as windows is, how are regular users of computers supposed to get linux if its this difficult to install programs justlinux.com
