Should I partion my HD before i install Drake?

I'm installing mandrake 7.2. It will be a dual boot MD/WinME. Should I use Partition Magic, or the like, and partition my HD before i install drake, or should I let drake do all the work?

BTW, will mandrake 7.2 fit on a 1.6 gb partition?

Mandrake's DiskDrake will partition it a lot quicker and easier than any 3rd party program, just do it during install www.linux-mandrake.com (http://www.linux-mandrake.com) in the "demos" section shows all of this.
And the FULL install of Mandrake is about a gig...
