I just heard a dude i talk to mention that debian has alot of security holes, any truth and or fixes for it?

There are security holes in programs that are a part of every distro - Debian isn't an exception here.
The good thing about Debian is that it's usually the first to have updated packages available.

Subscribe to debian-security-announce mailing list. When you get a warning from them, lauch dselect and update packages. Make sure you have security.debian.org in your sources.list.

IMO, Debian is the best linux distro concerning security.

Pick what fits your environment and apt-get.
