I can't get it installed with a GUI. I don't know what's wrong. It's like DOS when I boot up. It's all text. What did I do wrong? It never asked me to pick a GUI, so how do I get one? After I install Vector Linux, what should I do in the configuration menu? The mouse doesn't work when I try Xsetup. I have to use F10 to get back into the configuration menu. What do I choose if I have a Microsoft Intellimouse plugged into a serial port? I tried all the options, none of them work in Xsetup.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

I think I need to get my mouse to work in Xsetup so I can click desktop and get my GUI, which is fluxbox, which probably won't be in the selection screen. I'll probably have to get fluxbox and delete whichever GUI I use to have.

Did you try Vectorlinux forum for help?

So you can log into linux console screen? Have you tried typing
xf86config to setup your x-window session?

What happens when you type startx?
