suse 7.2 experts,do you know Ultra SCSI!!

Running suse 7.2, have 8 IBM 36gig in first 4 imb drivs raid 4, and other 4 drives raid 5, the thing is the 3 drive in raid 4 crashed, dont know why, I take it out , and test it and nothing wrong with the drive put it back in and go in the scsi bios tell it to rebuild nothing, and now all of a sudden raid 5 , drive 3 and 5 faild, that i was able to fix, but raid 4 drive 3 , the one i tested , does not want to know anything, can it be the wiring of the scsi bord, WIDE ?ULTRA2 LVDS SCSI. any info will help a grat deal , thanx ppl :confused:

There could be many conditions that could make the raid setup or the particular drives to fail/crash...it's hard to say what is happening without more information.Post hardware specs,file systems used on the strips,make of scsi board,any processes that might run while this is happening.BTW, are you using LVM by any chance?Then we might be able to offer some help/advice/suggestions...
