Have you compiled the support for it into your kernel? Or as a module? Is the module loaded? Is it being passed the proper parameters/arguments?

i compiled it exactly as i did in 2.2.18. i compile directly to the kernel. i dont do as modules. i compile sound support and crystal soundfusion cs461x and nothing not even dmesg sees it but lspci does

If you have compiled your kernel with modules. You have to install the newest modutils. I'm actually having problems rite now. It says:
"linux/errno.h: No Such File or Directory"
what i did was i did an
"ln -sf /usr/include/bits linux"
but it still didnt work.
Anyone have any suggestions?
