I've had xawtv working on my box, perfectly, until recently.
One day i turned it on modprobed bttv and started xawtv, the reception was very bad, i put it down to the weather. I had it working perfectly in the past.
I have a Hauppauge WinTV PrimaFM model 693, PCI card. This is the newer card with FM radio, videoconferencing/webcam capability.
Anyway, now i have changed the cables, recompiled bttv in gentoo (i have support for v4l bt848, i have i2c going etc.
Here are some files from my RedHat box kernel 2.4.18-14. I have tried the card in different PCI bays - all the obvious things.
When i use the scantv utility i get no channels, i used to get them loud and clear, i'm confused - i have tried coax inputs from various sources in the house, i have tried a television and it receives pictures no problem.
As i say, i have had this working, it's doing my head in! Hopefully someone can see what the problem is. More info available if needed.
Nvidia drivers 3123 built kernel from src rpm and normal GLX rpm.
