I could have sworn that I read somewhere here that there was a way to make a linux disk to reset NT passwords. Put in the disk and it could write to the sam file.
Where is this file located? Am I dreaming? I really do have a user who is kinda locked out of administrator account.
Thanks!!

Do a yahoo search for NT+password+recovery ...there are several images you can download to a disk and just boot up and go. The Lopht one works well, but there are many. I have one that works on novell and NT that I found last year. Just remember to make a copy and keep it in your emergency stash, it will be needed again.

Ummm. What do you mean why did I put fiber in at home? I just got bored, and the only way to make it better is to just make it complicated as hell, and then I forget I'm bored. What other reason for a segmented, routed, linux+Novell+NT+2000 hybrid ethernet/FDDI/Token ring network for your home is there?
