CounterStrike in Linux?

sorry if this has been asked before, but the forum search doesnt work..
is it possible to play counter strike in linux ? i heard get the latest version of wine and the latest kernel and it will work, but is there anything else i need to know? and better yet, is it possible to install it in linux so i can remove windows as a whole :D ?

I posted the link to the Half-Life/wine howto on some other thread (and I'm sure many others have also).

Do a search and you should find it pretty easily. I think you need to compile wine with open gl support and use it to run the Half Life installer.
