Has anyone successfully gotten the PPPoE protacol working in 2.4? I understand that there is a way to build it into the kernel......

Man, I thought it worked already. My new DSL ISP I'm getting soon is PPPoE. This could be bad.....

I don't know if it works or not. Someone on DSLREPORTS.com was asking about it, and I was curious too (I'm using roaring penguin...)

Do a search of http://freshmeat.net for pppoe. There is this combo User/Kernel pppoe client. It is supposed to have less overhead then soley user space clients like Roaring Penguin. On a 400mhz box RP rarely pings 4% cpu usage so I am not concerned.
