When I first installed my mandrake 8.2 the sound worked. When I booted up in KDE I always got the bootup theme song to play.
After I started hardening my system, mostly with Bastille and msec, the sound just stopped coming out! There is only one program, (real player) that will produce sound on my system now.
I am assuming that the security settings are blocking my sound output but Im not sure how to open the sound back up without weakening my security settings.
Any ideas?
