Hello, I am running Red Hat 7.3 and having a sound delay similar to other postings on this site. More or less in most games I play, the sound is approx. 2 seconds delayed. Before coming here I had already checked other sites, and my irq/io settings. I didn't even notice XMMS was doing it until I started reading through the threads here, shure 'nuff, it has that delay there too. I tried changing it from Arts to OSS and I get this error:
"Please check that:
You have the correct output plugin selected
No other programs is blocking the soundcard
Your soundcard is configured properly"
Everything else seems to work although it's possible they have delays as well, and I'm just not noticing it. I'm about ot get Red Hat 8.0, maybe this problems is corrected? If not, (or until I do get 8.0) any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
