TIA
Stormix has gone bankrupt. Therefore I too am about to try Progeny.

Go with a proven distro that's been around and will be around. I recommended Caldera, but there are others - I just can't remember their names. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

If you're interested in Debian, I still say, download Storm if you want -- there are plenty of mirrors out there that have the iso image.
If you want pure Debian, go for it. It really isn't all that hard to install. Sure, Storm made it easier and it has some very nice GUI config tools that worked rather well. But it really was 98% pure Debian. So is Libranet and so is Progeny. Progeny beta 2 is working pretty well for me, so far. I like some of it's tools, too. We'll see what else comes of it by it's projected March 2001 official release date.
The thing is, you won't get out of Caldera the things you'll get from Debian. Sure, apt is an easy one to point out but, overall, it was Debian that made me want to stay with linux at all. The others really disappointed me in one way or another. But, as said by many others, YMMV.
So, bankrupt or not as a company, Storm Hail 2.06 is a sweet distro. Try if you think you'd like to. There won't be any problems with keeping it current or up to date in the future because, as I said above, it really is Debian, through and through... just keep your apt sources pointed to official Debian mirrors and you will be set!
Have fun either way!
