I have recently installed a copy of mandrake linux onto my computer which runs perfectly. When i boot up into a graphical x login system i can choose my user then the gnome system and it takes me into gnome which is fine. However i boot up into command mode which is what i want to do but when i type startx kde loads. I do not want this i want gnome with enlightenment to load up. Also if i type startx gnome i get gnome with a different user interface than the one i was getting when logging in to x.
I would be appreciative of anyone who could help me configure x to start up into the correct mode from the command line interface.
I have tryed practically everything to configure this problem from within gnome and kde and still no luck so its probably best to configure it from the command line interface.
