Hi..
Ive seen a few posts saying that Mandrake doesnt give u enough control over it... can someone explain this for me?
Being a newbie, would Mandrake be the best distro for me to use or should I switch to RedHat or something?
Thanx

If you're new use mandrake 8.0

I would agree. When folks talk about lack of control, they are talking in a power-user sense, not normal user. In Mandrake you have a similar level of control as in Windows (although ultimately more - this is Linux ;) )

i use mandrake all the time because it does what i want it to
one day maybe when i am proficient enough to know that i want more out of it and it doesnt provide then mayve i shall move to slack/debian
if you go to them too soon and cant get to grips because of lack of knowledge it will put you off, which is a bad thing.
