Linux for a newbie

Im new to *nix and i would like to get a linux OS.

I just need to know which one to get.

I need something...

1. VERY stable
2. User friendly
3. FAST
4. easy to install
5. something that can make partitions at install.

BTW: I have 233mhz, 32mb ram, pentium 2, 2.99gig hd.
